1. Foreign Body Airway Obstructions (Choking): Choking is a frightening situation that can occur suddenly and without warning. Our course teaches participants how to recognize and respond to choking emergencies in adults, children, and infants, including techniques such as abdominal thrusts and back blows.
2. Heart Attacks: Recognizing the signs and symptoms of a heart attack is crucial for prompt intervention. Participants will learn how to identify the warning signs of a heart attack, when to administer Aspirin, initiate appropriate emergency protocols, and provide initial care while awaiting professional medical assistance.
3. Stroke: Time is of the essence in stroke emergencies. Our course covers the FAST (Face, Arms, Speech, Time) assessment tool for identifying stroke symptoms, as well as the importance of rapid intervention and activation of emergency medical services (EMS). Participants will gain an understanding of stroke risk factors, types of strokes, and the immediate actions to take when a stroke is suspected.
